Chesil beach hut for quarter of a million
Hut near Chesil Beach goes on sale
3 December 2007
Fans of Ian McEwan’s 2007 Man Booker shortlisted novel On Chesil Beach are now able to buy a small property close to the celebrated beach for the modest price for £280,000.
A wooden beach hut with the £280,000 price tag has just gone on sale in a West Dorset village. The one bedroom chalet at West Bexington is just yards from the sea and is said to ‘boast stunning views’.
The hut measures just over five metres by four metres (17ft by 15ft) but as it’s just a few steps from steps from Chesil Beach, location of Ian McEwen’s bestseller On Chesil Beach, the price has been pushed up.
McEwan fans with disposable incomes are invited to contact Bridport estate agents Symonds and Sampson.
