Peter Carey, one of six authors on the shortlist for the Best of the Booker, tells us he is "honoured" to have been shortlisted in such great company.

In his interview for this website the twice Booker-winning novelist discusses success, the writing process for Oscar and Lucinda and translating books into films. He explains 'tall poppy syndrome' to us, and talks about con men and creating viable Australian origin myths.
