
Folio Society publishes new editions of Booker winners
Beautiful editions of seven winning titles now available

The Folio Society has just published seven of the Man Booker winning titles in beautiful illustrated editions. The seven titles are Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, Possession by A.S. Byatt, Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey, The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch, The Siege of Krishnapur by J.G. Farrell, The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro and Schindler's Ark by Thomas Keneally.
The Folio Society worked closely with the living authors, and they are said to be delighted with the new editions.
Salman Rushdie has described the new Folio edition of Midnight's Children as 'absolutely beautiful.' The edition features an introduction by Rushdie, explaining the origins of the bestselling novel which went on to become 'the Booker of Bookers' in 1993 and 'the Best of the Booker' in 2008
Kazuo Ishiguro is also delighted with the Folio edition of The Remains of the Day, saying that 'the tone created by the artwork is just the right balance of humour and pathos.' The book is beautifully illustrated by Finn Campbell-Notman.
Thomas Kenneally has offered a new introduction to the Folio edition of Schindler's Ark, the novel which went on to receive universal recognition through the multi-Academy Award winning film adaption by Steven Spielberg.
The Siege of Krishnapur by J.G. Farrell features an introduction by Hilary Mantel, The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch features an introduction by former Man Booker Prize Chair John Sutherland and Peter Carey's Oscar and Lucinda features an introduction by Peter Kemp.
