Waters and Foulds nominated for South Bank Show Awards

Man Booker Prize authors nominated

Man Booker Prize-shortlisted authors Sarah Waters and Adam Foulds have been nominated for the final South Bank Show Awards literature prize.

Adam Foulds' The Quickening Maze and Sarah Waters' The Little Stranger (Virago) will compete against Peter Akinti's debut novel Forest Gate (Jonathan Cape). Akinti is also nominated for the Times Breakthrough Award, to be presented by actor Sir Ian McKellen.

Melvyn Bragg will host the awards on 26th January, with the ITV1 broadcast on Sunday 31st January.
