Hollinghurst event at King’s Place

Man Booker Prize winner at ‘Writing Houses’ event

15 September 2011

Alan Hollinghurst, winner of the Man Booker Prize in 2004 with The Line of Beauty, will be reading from his own work at a special event - 'Writing Houses: Dwelling on Dwelling' - in London on Monday 19th September 2011.

Hollinghurst will join former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, chair of the Man Booker Prize judging panel in 2010, and they will discuss with Rowan Moore their idea of 'houses' in literature.

Both authors will read from their own work, as well as considering the work of others, and answering questions from the audience.

The event has a hashtag (#writinghouses).

The event will begin at 7pm at King's Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9AG. You can book tickets here

Picador are also giving readers the chance to win a signed copy of Alan Hollinghurst's novel The Stranger's Child, longlisted for the 2011 Man-Booker Prize.
