Trezza Azzopardi

The Hiding Place, 2000, Shortlisted

Trezza Azzopardi was born in Cardiff in 1961. She studied Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia and is currently a lecturer there. Time Out magazine selected her story as the best of the UEA anthology of her year. Her first novel, The Hiding Place (2000) won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize and was shortlisted for both the Booker Prize for Fiction and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize (for fiction). Her third novel, Winterton Blue, was published in 2007. Trezza Azzopardi lives in Norwich.
