Synopsis
Set in contemporary Dublin, No Country for Young Men involves an Irish-American targeted for elimination by terrorists, an unsolved 1922 murder, a moving love affair, a mad nun and what happens to a society when memory displaces thought.
Author Biography
Julia O’Faolain was born in London in 1932. Her novels include Godded and Codded; Women in the Wall; No Country for Young Men which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize; The Obedient Wife; The Irish Signorina; and The Judas Cloth. Her short story collections include We Might See Sights! and Other Stories; Man in the Cellar; and Daughters of Passion.
