As the year draws to a close, we take a look back at some of our favourite moments of 2023 from the world of the Booker Prizes

2023 has been a bumper year for the Booker Prizes. Not only was it the year that the first Bulgarian author won the International Booker Prize, it also saw the fifth Irish novelist (and third Paul) win the Booker Prize.

But it was also the year we launched our Book of the Month series, our new podcast and our Facebook book club. Our Book of the Month series shines a spotlight on a different title from the Booker Library each month, with a mix of features, extracts, reading guides and competition. The Booker Prize Podcast, hosted by novelist Jo Hamya and critic James Walton, casts a fresh eye over winning books and other nominated titles from years past, featuring interviews with authors, experts and enthusiasts, and peering behind the curtain of the latest prizes. (Sign up here if you haven’t already!) While our Booker Prize Book Club brings readers together from all over the world to discuss Booker-nominated titles, access exclusive content and win a range of prizes. The club now boasts over 7,000 members so, if you haven’t yet joined, what are you waiting for?

We also published a wealth of written features and original video on our website and across our social platforms throughout the year. Our editors have selected their favourite features from the past 12 months below.
